What are the Buoys made out of?: Maine Cedar
What colors can I order the Buoys in?: Either the natural cedar, prepainted ones, or you can special order colored buoys by contacting us
What are the straps made out of?: The straps are made out of 100% Leather
Are the buoys okay to place outside?: Yes, you can place them outdoors.
Why are the buoys cracked?: This is the natural drying process of the wood.
Who paints the Buoys?: Kimberly Richards
What are the buoys painted with?: Each buoys has a minimum of 2 coats of oil based paint. The same paint that is used on lobster buoys today.
Can I paint them myself?: Of course! We reccomend oil based paints.
Where are you located?: Friendship, Maine
Why Cedar Buoys?: We've always looked around at antique shops for cedar buoys like this, they were always so expensive, so we decided to do it. We sell them for cheaper than other places, and they're great products to use as a gift, or just some simple decor.
